My Name is Canute Bud Ireland, but my music name is Rosebud. The meaning behind Rosebud is basically, if you take a look at the bud of a flower. It’s the immature part; it’s still in the adolescent and dormant stage. It has the potential to become a beautiful flower, but metaphorically it doesn’t have a vision yet. After the bud has bloomed into a flower, it comes in contact with its identity. The name Rosebud is an illustration of my life to date. I was born in Washington D.C and, I was raised in Fairfax, Virginia. I am dyslexic, and I struggled with reading and writing throughout my earlier years of education. I’ve learned to use my strengths to overcome the obstacle that come along with dyslexia.
My amazing parents, made sacrifices for me after high school, that would help me get the right accommodations, I went to a special dyslexia school. It helped me improve my reading and writing skills tremendously. I will always be grateful for their continuous sacrifice and support. I am proud to be dyslexic because it inspires me to think outside the box. In 2014 I received my bachelor degree in Music at the University of Virginian’s College at Wise. I’m a guitarist, pianist and singer songwriter. Music is my passion and my identity. It’s my dream is to have a performance music career while traveling the world and I will do what it takes to achieve it. My music is be best describe as bliss, enchanting, inspiring and honest, that helps heal the human heart. I will follow this to the end.
